Alua Arthur is a death doula, recovering attorney, and the founder of Going with Grace, a death doula training and end of life planning organization that exists to support people as they answer the question, “What must I do to be at peace with myself so that I may live presently and die gracefully?” Going with Grace works to improve and redefine the end-of-life experience for people rooted in every community using the individual lived experience as the foundation. Alua was a keynote speaker at EndWell 2019, and has been featured in the LA Times, Vogue, Refinery29, The Doctors, and InStyle. She is inspired by the gift of LIFE itself and is always on the quest for the best donuts and fried plantains!
Elizabeth Erbrecht
LMT & Death Doula
Elizabeth is a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist and End of Life Doula with a Bachelor’s Degree from Carlow University. With over eighteen years of experience in hospice as well as geriatric and palliative care, Elizabeth recognized a desperate need in today’s world – knowledge and training in the field of touch pertaining to the ill and dying. Elizabeth created Nurturing Touch for the Dying and has begun to focus primarily on educating and equipping people who work with the aging population to create a deeper connection for everyone as they approach the end of life. NTD has opened the door for all-inclusive compassion while expanding the bridge of our humanity through touch across the transition between life and death. Elizabeth is an author, speaker, and teacher as she shares her knowledge, experience for others to know that we are still alive even as we die.
